Sweater update
All day today I have been knitting away, last night I had the back finished but today I have finished the front and two sleeves, this evening I have been working on the button band which has to be knitted by hand.
If I didn't say in my last post this sweater is knitted on alternate needles which was a bit unusual to me as I nearly always work on every needle, I was a bit unsure at first as how it was going to turn out when it came of the machine as the work is hyper extended even more than on every needle however it looked beautiful when it was pulled into shape.
Heres what I have done so far.
Heres a close up of the stitch pattern.
Talk later

That is beautiful. I can't wait til you put it together. Sheryl
ReplyDeleteAlex, is the pattern for the machine or for hand knitting? Looks good, glad youve got back into the knitting :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry Phil I must have forgotten to say that the pattern is from the machine knitting monthly magazine and the picture in the post is the hand knit pattern that I just copied of the internet, machine knitting monthly has just modified the pattern to work with the knitting machine.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks Sheryl I too can't wait to see how it turns out.
did you do this on the machine or by hand? Looks hand knit. Pretty amazing if done on machine!
ReplyDeletenope I did this entirely on the knitmaster 155 bar the collar as I hand knitted thst because there were not enough needles to do it on, I just had to use the latch tool to reform the stitches and also it was knitted on alternate needles
ReplyDeletewow, that is so neat Alex. All my sweaters on my blog were hand knit except the latest one, the brown one. I had no idea you could stuff like that on the machine. So much to learn. Is a Knitmaster 155 a chunky machine?
