Hand knit baby jacket finished

I know its a huge step from the last update but I thought I would just sew it all up and then picture it because yesterday I was sewing in the second sleeve and I thought oh know I haven't took a picture of the sleeves but oh well heres the finished jacket for my nephew it won't fit him yet but I made it bigger on purpose so he can grow into it it is 12-18 months.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out and I think I will knit somthing else to match because I have got a ball left but i'm not sure what.

Baby jacket update and knitmaster 155 intarsia carriage

Today I have managed to get a picture of my baby jacket. since the picture I uploaded previously I have knitted the rest of the left front and the right front now i just need to knit the sleeves. gosh doesn't hand knitting take ages. lol
here it is

when Phil was talking about the ag 30 intarsia carriage for the 155 I remembered I bought one a couple of years ago and I found it in my drawer that was probably the second time I took it out of the box I haven't used it yet but I will probably have a play around with it at the weekend.
I installed it on the machine but I'm not sure what the little white plastic things are for.

Today I decided to set up my lk150 and knit some intarsia using the ag10 intarsia carriage that my mum got me for Christmas last year. It is a knitmaster ag10 and my lk150 is a silver reed but that doesn't maatter. In this sample I used 2 colours, 2 balls of pink and 2 balls of blue and then cast on 60 stitches and knitted a few rows then I did each colour over 15 stitches (alternating them) and knitted 15 rows then I switched them around and knitted another 15 rows (Ie. knitted the pink blue and the blue pink) it really is more simple that it sounds.

anyway here is what I have knitted

heres the purl side and I used cheryl brunette's technique
on weaving in the ends as you go

baby jacket

last week I decided to go ahead and hand knit the baby jacket because I couldn't make heads or tales of the diagram they give you in the machine knitting monthly mag so oh well it is in chunky so it will knit up really fast. I found the pattern, yarn and buttons on eBay. the yarn is in a wonderful moss green colour and the buttons are wood toggle style and they will go beautifully with the moss green.
The yarn was supposed to be knitted in king Cole comfort chunky but I knitted it in king Cole big value chunky but it still looks equally as nice.

So far I have knitted the back and half of the left front. I will put some pictures up when I find the flaming camera wire so I can upload them.

but any way that's all for now
