How Should I Store Them?

For a couple of years now, I have been collecting the machine knitting monthly magazines.
I have from August 2009 to November 2011, I did miss a couple of issues in 2011 which are July, August and December. Unfortunately, I have missed all of the magazines from this year, they just got shoved in a box, which was then put away in a cupboard and me being quite busy this year I had forgot all about them.

I may buy back issues, but they charge more for them as they have to be re printed, or, I may just browse eBay for them.
I think I will get the latest issue now, when I next go into town.

Anyway, I just wanted to put this post up asking for advice on how I could store these magazines?
I thought of a lever Arch file and plastic wallets, however it may be too heavy, as I have 26 issues up to now.

Anyone else got any ideas?

Oh, before I sign off, tommorow I will get a picture of the blanket and scarf that I knitted for my nephew for his birthday.

That's all for now.

Talk to you later,
Alex.

Trying Out A New Tuck Stitch Pattern

I was just having a browse threw Toms blog (Tom The Knitting Machine Guy) and I found this lovely tuck stitch pattern, he also posted a picture of the chart for the design, so I was able to punch out a card, however, since I didn't have any 24 stitch cards, and that is how wide the pattern was, (24 stitch and 12 row repeat) I looked at the chart and counted 12 stiches accross, if the pattern was the same on the other half of 12 stitches, I would be able to punch it out on a 12 stitch punch card to use on my Knitmaste 155 chunky machine, luckily, it was.

I punched the card out immediately, because it is such a beautiful tuck pattern, like Tom said, it really is the perfect tuck stitch.
I knitted a sample of the pattern on the 155 and here is how it looks, it is quite pretty, I think.

Thanks Tom, for the chart!

Talk to you later,
Alex

Updates

Hi everyone, I have not posted on here for a couple of months, simply because I haven’t had much time too, however I do have some updates.
The fisherman’s rib baby blanket that I said I was making about a month ago, I have now finished and just needs to be pictured for the blog.

It is my nephew’s 2nd birthday on August 13th so I am going to wrap the blanket up for him along with some other things I have been making him also.
I found some of that hairy, fury yarn in my stash, there are about four balls of it, and it is a nice cream colour. I have made him a scarf with that yarn up to now, I do plan on making some mittens and a hat to go with it, which will be nice because the colder months will be coming up again soon, thank god!!

When that is all out the way, I think I will start on another sweater for my self, for when winter comes, I don't have much yarn in my stash for a big project like that, so may need to do some yarn shopping. I have no idea what the sweater will be like, so I am going to look through some pattern books tonight, or maybe I will design it on knitware, not sure though yet, but I think I will be knitting it on the standard machine.

Anyway that is pretty much it for now so I will leave it at that.

Talk to you later,
Alex.
